Malvern Web Solutions are very conscious of environmental issues, and we are determined to play our part in helping to reduce damage to the environment. Our office electricity supply is on a 100% green tariff, and our hot water supply is supplemented by a solar hot water system. Globally, computers and peripherals are a major source of CO₂ emissions, and it's not just monitors left on standby that are to blame. Large data centres (like the one in which our websites are housed) are major polluters, being crammed full of power-hungry computer servers and network switches.

At Malvern Web Solutions, we have decided to make a contribution to help offset these emissions and improve our environment. For each year's hosting our customers take out with us, we will make a £10 donation to The Woodland Trust. The Woodland Trust is a charity that seeks to conserve and extend our natural woodlands, thus providing habitats for wildlife, preserving our beautiful countryside, and taking carbon out of the atmosphere. The donation will allow a single tree to be dedicated, in a local wood, and will help to fund their ongoing planting and management programme.

In addition to the above, we are continually trying to reduce our own "carbon footprint", and we also keep an eye on our suppliers too!

Please note:
The Woodland Trust requests that corporate donations are for a minimum of £250, in order to keep their administation overheads as low as possible. In keeping with this request, we will submit our donations on an annual basis.
